with Ron Miller | Beginners
Learn skill, dexterity, and coordination using the potter’s wheel as a tool of the ceramic-forming process as you are introduced to hand-building and throwing techniques. Develop aesthetics in a contemporary, social, and historical context while also exploring the fundamental process of firing and glazing. Firing fees are charged, based on volume of work produced. Materials list provided.

+ CLASS NOTES: Ceramics courses may sometimes require light lifting. Students should be able to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
+ FIRING TICKETS: Firing fees are based on the measured volume of the finished pieces. Firing tickets are $2 each and available for purchase at the School of Art reception desk during business hours.
+ MATERIAL FEES: Required material fees cover the cost of full use of studio clay and glazes.
