Intermediate/Advanced Pottery
with Veronica Byun | Intermediate - Advanced
Learn various throwing techniques, functional design, and surface treatments through demonstrations and personalized instruction. Advanced students may pursue projects of their own choosing with instructional guidance. Firing fees are charged, based on volume of work produced. Prerequisite: Two semesters of Intro to Pottery and/or instructor permission to enroll.

+ CLASS NOTES: Ceramics courses may sometimes require light lifting. Students should be able to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
+ FIRING TICKETS: Firing fees are based on the measured volume of the finished pieces. Firing tickets are $2 each and available for purchase at the School of Art reception desk during business hours.
+ MATERIAL FEES: Required material fees cover the cost of full use of studio clay and glazes.
+ OPEN STUDIO TIMES: Students currently enrolled in an adult ceramics class may take advantage of open studio hours on Saturdays or Sundays from 8am - noon or 1-5pm. Open studio spots are limited and must be registered for in advance of attending via digital signup.

She/Her
VERONICA JUYOUN BYUN was born in Seoul, Korea, received her MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, RI and her BFA from the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University in Alfred, NY. Veronica was a 2013-2015 Artist-in-Residence. She is the Coordinator and Instructor of Ceramic Arts at Munson. vbyun@prattmunson.edu
