The Munson Museum of Art will present a fashion show and cocktail event in association with the exhibition, “Sporting Fashion: Outdoor Girls 1800 to 1960,” 7 to 10 p.m. Thursday, September 14.
Join us for an amazing event showcasing the influence of female athletes on fashion from 1960 to the present, celebrating all women and all body types. Highlighted ensembles will be shown by local vintage store Thrift “ish,” and owner Carlene Mahanna will guest host the event with Man Hue Duong of Yoga Shala.
Attendees are encouraged to dress in their most creative athleisure or sportswear look to recall any decade or sport— your fashion style could win a door prize and a walk down the runway!
At 7 p.m. visit Sporting Fashion, the Museum of Art’s summer exhibition of women’s sporting design and enjoy music, hors d'oeuvres, and signature cocktails at a full cash bar. The Fashion Show starts at approximately 8 p.m. The evening will include an exciting performance by Olga Karmansky, U.S. Champion and two-time Pan American Champion in Rhythmic Gymnastics, along with an exciting dance routine from our local youth. The evening concludes with a dance party to send everyone off, moving and grooving!
