Free community event! Join us.
Join Munson for a special evening celebrating Juneteenth through art, music, creativity, food, and cultural connection. This welcoming gathering honors the significance of Juneteenth while setting the tone for a vibrant weekend of reflection, remembrance, and celebration across the city.
Enjoy music by DJ Doneilous King featuring recording artists who are also celebrated visual artists, including Miles Davis and Erykah Badu. Explore the galleries through a special tour highlighting works by African American artists from Munson's collection, participate in a watercolor mini-class led by Annette Gurdo, and create your own "Ugly Pot" during a family-friendly kids' craft activity.
Refreshments will be provided by Reset 315 and Mrs. Goodman's Goodies. All are welcome to come together for an evening of community, creativity, and celebration.
Funding for Munson’s Juneteenth celebration is sponsored by Sheila and Ron Cuccaro.
